This study was mandated by the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) and has been conducted from June 2021 to July 2021. It aimed to understand the perceptions and experiences of women and youth in relation to their security and safety concerns in the 5 borderland communities between Tunisia and Libya and explore the associated dynamics, risks and protective factors that exist in response to those concerns. The research also seeked to determine what role women and youth are playing and would see themselves playing in terms of security and safety within their community of belonging.
